Goals

The goals of Sovereign Shepherd School of Values and Learning are as follows:

To provide the necessary training for the spiritual and moral development of each student;

To teach each student the necessity of the new birth and to see the student trusting Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior and Lord;

To assist each student in developing a Christian world view and philosophy of life;

To teach the basic doctrines of the Bible;

To provide the student with excellent academic training;

To assist each student in realizing his/her full academic potential;

To solidly equip each student with the basic skills which are essential tools to all 
learning and communication, such as; reading, writing, speaking, listening and mathematics;

To teach and encourage good study habits;

To teach the student how to do independent research;

To develop the student’s ability to think creatively, critically and logically with the Bible as the ultimate criteria for evaluation;

To encourage students to develop special areas of personal interest;

To encourage students to be aware of current affairs and to understand them in terms of how they relate to God’s plan for man;

To help each student develop his/her personality by understanding his/her uniqueness in God’s sight, and understanding what He expects of each person;

To teach the student his responsibility as a contributing member of society;

To help develop a God-honoring view of life, work, relationship and service;

To teach the knowledge and skills required for future studies, occupational competence and fulfilled living; and

To aid the home in Christian growth and in the development of Christ-centered homes.
